Areas for Improvement

  • There is a lack of engagement with diverse cultural perspectives or critiques of Western institutional norms.

AI Analysis

88 Minutes is a traditional genre thriller that prioritizes individual psychological conflict over intersectional representation. The narrative structure relies heavily on established Western institutions of justice and forensic authority. The film adheres to conventional tropes, particularly regarding gender and power dynamics. It focuses on a singular male perspective, leaving little room for the subversion of social hierarchies or diverse cultural perspectives. Ultimately, the work functions as a standard mystery-thriller. It lacks the intentional narrative deconstruction required to move beyond a homogeneous, traditional storytelling model.
