New Showbiz Analysis

Howard the Duck centers on an alien adventure that emphasizes cosmic conflict over social commentary. It uses the 'fish-out-of-water' cliché but does not delve into identity or power dynamics. The narrative structure aligns with typical 1980s storytelling, reinforcing traditional hierarchies. The film avoids complex themes and sticks to a simple, biological definition of 'otherness'.
