Loft is a traditional suspense thriller centered on a highly homogeneous demographic. The plot is driven entirely by a group of affluent white men, leaving little room for diverse perspectives or multi-layered identities. The film adheres to established social hierarchies, particularly regarding gender. While the men navigate complex psychological tensions and deceptions, the women in the story lack the autonomy to influence the central mystery, often serving merely as victims or catalysts. Ultimately, the film operates within a narrow framework of high-status capitalism and straight-centered sexual politics. It offers a study of individual morality rather than a meaningful engagement with broader social or cultural diversity.
