In this film, Laerte conjugates the body in the feminine, and scrutinizes concepts and prejudices. Not in search of an identity, but in search of un-identities. Laerte creates and sends creatures to face reality in the fictional world of comic strips as a vanguard of the self. And, on the streets, the one who becomes the fiction of a real character. Laerte, of all the bodies, and of none, complicates all binaries. In following Laerte, this documentary chooses to clothe the nudity beyond the skin we inhabit.

AI Analysis
Laerte-se is a specialized documentary that excels at disrupting traditional identity frameworks. It moves beyond mere visibility, centering non-binary existence as a sophisticated, philosophical inquiry rather than a simple character study. The film's strength lies in its refusal to follow conventional storytelling patterns. By focusing on the complication of binaries, it provides a high level of representation that challenges patriarchal and heteronormative structures. However, the documentary's narrow focus on gender and identity leaves its approach to racial and disability representation unclear. While culturally progressive, the specificities of these other marginalized identities are not addressed.
