Zoolander stands out as a postmodern satire that upends traditional masculine archetypes. By depicting male protagonists as intellectually shallow, the film challenges conventional gender hierarchies and power structures. However, the film falls short in providing depth in other areas. While the fashion world offers a diverse aesthetic, the narrative remains Western-centric and relies on caricatures rather than fully realized characters of color. Ultimately, the film's strength lies in its critique of consumerism, despite missing opportunities for deeper LGBTQ+ and characters who reflect more than one aspect of diversity.
Category Breakdown

The film critiques Western consumerism and capitalist vanity. It portrays the fashion industry as a hollow, corrupt machine, undermining institutional stability.
