AI Analysis
Dead on Campus operates primarily as a genre-driven thriller focused on suspense and melodrama. While it offers a moderate critique of social hierarchies and female power dynamics, it lacks intersectional depth. The narrative prioritizes individual justice over systemic or identity-based liberation. The film's strengths lie in its exploration of female agency and the deconstruction of social institutions. However, it fails to provide meaningful representation for LGBTQ+ or diverse racial groups, sticking to traditional thriller conventions. Ultimately, the production lacks the intentionality required for a high progressive score, as it does not engage with identity-driven narratives or diverse casting.
