The tenth edition of Polish Pride parades a colorful trail of rainbow flags through the streets of Warsaw. Along the route, Antek and his friends line up to warn of the “pink threat” in prayer and edifying hymns. As traditional Catholics, he and his Brotherhood hold deeply conservative views: sex before marriage is out of the question, homosexuality can be cured, abortion is a great evil and Poland is for the Poles. His sister thinks his homophobic ranting is pointless, because in a few years the planet will be destroyed anyway as nobody is doing anything about climate change.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film uses the Warsaw Pride parade as a visual backdrop, but the LGBTQ+ community remains largely reactionary. They serve as a catalyst for conservative rhetoric rather than driving the narrative through their own agency.
Gender Representation
Traditional masculine roles are central to the Brotherhood, yet Antek's sister provides a necessary disruption. Her focus on environmentalism subverts domestic expectations and positions her as an intellectual outlier.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The documentary depicts a highly homogeneous social landscape. The narrative focuses on Polish nationalism and the defensive postures of groups asserting that Poland is for the Poles.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The film documents a clash between Catholic morality and modern secularism. It highlights the friction between religious dogma and contemporary concerns like climate change and environmental nihilism.
Disability Representation
There is no evidence of characters with visible or invisible disabilities within the film's narrative.

AI Analysis
Polish Prayers functions as a study of ideological resistance rather than a celebration of intersectional inclusion. The film centers on the preservation of traditional hierarchies and the documentation of conservative, nationalist, and religious viewpoints. While the documentary captures the visual presence of the LGBTQ+ community through Pride parades, the narrative focus remains on the opposition to these identities. The subjects' rhetoric defines the film's tension, often sidelining the actual experiences of marginalized groups. Ultimately, the film explores the friction between staunch religious stewardship and emerging secular concerns, providing a window into a homogeneous social landscape defined by its defensive stance against progressive shifts.
