A Ghost in Monte Carlo follows conventional patterns of a period romance, emphasizing aristocratic drama over diverse perspectives. Female characters like Mistral play significant roles through manipulation, yet remain confined by traditional genre clichés. The film's approach to diversity is constrained by its focus on Western-centric social structures and potentially stereotypical character archetypes. Non-Western elements, such as the Rajah, primarily serve as plot devices rather than nuanced cultural representations. Overall, the film lacks the depth needed to challenge conventional storytelling hierarchies.
