New Showbiz Analysis

Romeo (2024) is a character-driven romantic drama that follows a traditional narrative arc. While it explores the tension between personal desires and societal obligations, it does not actively seek to disrupt systemic hierarchies. The film's strengths lie in its specific cultural context and the exploration of individual autonomy through Leela's resistance to a forced marriage. However, the story remains largely within the confines of conventional storytelling.
