AI Analysis

Thunderstruck operates within a conventional, merit-based storytelling model that favors established genre tropes over progressive narrative architecture. It functions as a standard sports-centric coming-of-age comedy designed for broad, domestic audiences. The film relies on traditional social frameworks, centering its drama on male-dominated spaces like the NBA and high school basketball. While it includes racial intersectionality through the presence of Kevin Durant, it does not use race as a central thematic driver. Ultimately, the film lacks the intentionality required to disrupt social hierarchies or provide complex, intersectional representation, opting instead for a predictable and heteronormative structure.
