New Showbiz Analysis

Average Joe functions as a conventional action-comedy that relies on established genre clichés. While the cast suggests a multi-ethnic ensemble, the narrative structure remains rooted in traditional hero archetypes. The film lacks evidence of intentional inclusion or the challenging of social norms. It focuses on personal physical transformation and the reassembly of a group rather than addressing systemic issues or the ability to act of underrepresented individuals. Ultimately, the production offers standard inclusion through its casting but fails to challenge historical norms or provide deeper storytelling that reflects multiple aspects of identity.
