Ocean Deep is a focused, character-driven psychological drama that emphasizes individual experience over broader social representation. While it avoids traditional gender roles, it lacks diverse representation in terms of race, LGBTQ+ identities, and disabilities. The film excels in challenging conventional thriller structures by highlighting a woman's ability to act during a crisis. However, it remains limited in its scope, focusing primarily on a localized narrative without broader demographic diversity.
