Tujhe Meri Kasam is a conventional romantic drama that adheres to established social and gender hierarchies. It uses traditional clichés to create emotional tension, rather than challenging existing power dynamics. The film successfully offers a culturally specific South Asian experience, avoiding Western-centric norms. However, this authenticity is balanced with a narrative that prioritizes social duty and family stability over systemic critique. Ultimately, the film reflects the traditional values of its time, maintaining the status quo through its focus on romantic loyalty and respect for parental authority.
