This documentary is a specialized technical study of the making of the album Hysteria. It prioritizes the dissection of multitrack tapes and the genesis of songwriting over social commentary. The film's narrow focus on the technical mechanics of hard rock results in a lack of diverse representation. The subjects and perspectives are drawn from a specific, homogeneous demographic of British musicians. Ultimately, the production serves as a historical archive for music enthusiasts. It lacks the narrative structure needed to engage with broader social or demographic complexities.
Category Breakdown
The documentary focuses solely on the recording process and does not include any characters or themes related to LGBTQ+ identities.

The film features a racially homogeneous group of British musicians and does not include diverse casting or intentional racial blending.
The documentary celebrates Western rock music history and musical craftsmanship but does not engage with critiques of religion or Western institutions.
While drummer Rick Allen lost an arm in an accident, the film does not use his disability as a central narrative arc but rather as a biographical fact.
