The film centers on a heterosexual couple navigating emotional and financial strain after Ana’s husband leaves her. Ana’s perspective leads the story, but she remains uncertain and reactive to circumstances beyond her control. Andrés tries to build a new life with her, yet his rigid, traditional views cause friction. The narrative critiques outdated masculine norms, framing them as emotionally limiting and socially outdated. However, the cast is uniformly white and heterosexual, with no LGBTQ+ or disabled characters. Representation is narrow, confined to a conventional Spanish middle-class setting.
Category Breakdown
No LGBTQ+ characters or same-sex relationships appear. The narrative focuses exclusively on a heterosexual romance between Ana and Andrés, leaving queer experiences entirely absent from the story.
Ana anchors the film, yet her arc is shaped by her husband’s abandonment and her own hesitation. Andrés pushes the relationship forward, but his traditional upbringing fuels conflict and emotional distance.
The cast and setting are entirely Spanish, with no visible racial or ethnic diversity. All characters appear white, reflecting a narrow, homogeneous social world.
The film critiques traditional marriage and male emotional ignorance. Andrés is described as cursed by old ways, signaling a questioning of patriarchal expectations and conventional gender roles.
No characters with physical or mental disabilities are shown or mentioned. Disability plays no role in the narrative or character dynamics.

Official Synopsis
Ana, abandoned by her husband, who confessed her having fallen in love with another woman, tries to restructure her life with another man, Andrés, but thinking of not getting married yet. They decide that they'll experience their relationship with full freedom of feelings, until their love lasts. Andrés is often emotionally ignorant but believes he's doing things well, cursed by the old ways he's been educated into. Ana herself is not even ready for anything new in her life, yet discontented with her new situation. The problems between the couple are not just financial, but more subtle, and inevitably disenchantment appears.
