Tell Me About Your Darkness is a psychological study centered on a woman's reclaiming of control. The film's strength lies in its subversion of traditional gender roles, transforming a domestic setting into a place of liberation for the protagonist. However, the narrative lacks breadth in its representation of other underrepresented groups. The focus remains tightly centered within a traditional marital and religious framework, offering limited engagement with LGBTQ+ or disability-related themes. Ultimately, the film succeeds as a localized critique of patriarchal domesticity but offers limited insights into broader social diversity.
