AI Analysis
When Love Comes is a character-driven drama that finds its strength in subverting social norms. By centering a queer romantic arc and exploring non-traditional lifestyles, the film offers a progressive perspective for its era. However, the film's impact is limited by a lack of racial and ethnic breadth. The focus remains tightly locked within a homogeneous social circle, missing opportunities for broader cultural intersectionality. Ultimately, the film succeeds as a study of personal liberation and emotional growth, even as it remains narrow in its demographic scope.
