AI Analysis
Night Watch functions as a standard mid-90s global adventure. It achieves moderate success by utilizing a multicultural setting and establishing gender parity through its dual-protagonist lead roles. However, the film lacks the narrative depth required to challenge social hierarchies. The focus remains on traditional investigative tropes and the protection of Western cultural assets. While the international scope prevents a purely homogeneous Western perspective, the characters often serve established genre roles rather than providing deep intersectional complexity.
