New Showbiz Analysis

Flight of the Living Dead is a conventional horror film that prioritizes genre clichés over social complexity. The narrative centers on a mad scientist and a biological threat, focusing on Western institutional conflicts like the CIA. Since the story focuses on the mechanics of a contained survivalist thriller, there is little room for exploring diverse identities or nuanced representations. The film adheres to traditional archetypes rather than attempting to disrupt social hierarchies. Ultimately, the work functions as a standard genre exercise, lacking the intentionality needed to explore diverse perspectives or cultural critiques.
