New Showbiz Analysis

Breaking2 is a specialized documentary that prioritizes the technical and physiological aspects of elite sport. Its primary strength lies in the racial and ethnic centering of Kenyan athletes, providing them with significant visibility as the narrative's primary drivers. However, the film operates within a traditional framework of meritocracy, lacking in-depth exploration of multi-layered issues and systemic power dynamics. Ultimately, the film is designed to celebrate human achievement through the lens of scientific progress rather than social critique.
