New Showbiz Analysis

Touchless is a gritty social realist drama that focuses on the breakdown of domestic stability rather than broad demographic representation. It successfully challenges traditional power dynamics by presenting the family unit as oppressive. However, the film lacks breadth in its exploration of identity, focusing primarily on a specific, localized struggle. It offers limited visibility for LGBTQ+ or racially diverse perspectives. Ultimately, the film's impact comes from its critique of social and economic structures. It provides an unflinching look at how systemic failures affect vulnerable individuals.
