Strange Colours is a psychological drama that challenges traditional power dynamics by placing a female protagonist in a masculine, isolated setting. However, the film's diversity is limited by its focus on a central family dynamic. It lacks explicit exploration of racial, ethnic, or LGBTQ+ identities within the known plot. Ultimately, the film succeeds in depicting social alienation and the rejection of mainstream norms, though it falls short in providing a broad range of characters who reflect more than one aspect of diversity.
