AI Analysis
Who's That Girl? is a mainstream romantic comedy that prioritizes situational farce and escapist humor over social commentary. While it centers on a female protagonist, the narrative relies on traditional comedic tropes rather than deconstructing gendered power dynamics. The film adheres to conventional social structures, focusing on class-based misunderstandings and family-centric conflicts. It lacks the intersectional depth or intentional subversion of systemic hierarchies necessary to challenge the status quo. Ultimately, the production leans into the familiarity of commercial cinema. It provides a localized Philippine experience but avoids exploring diverse identities or challenging established cultural norms.
