It relies on established holiday romance conventions to provide a predictable and comforting emotional experience for the viewer. The film reinforces existing social and cultural norms rather than introducing intersectional complexities. By centering on a homogeneous demographic and conventional family structures, it maintains a streamlined, safe storytelling approach.
