AI Analysis

The Set Up functions as a standard mid-90s thriller, relying heavily on established genre tropes. The narrative architecture is built around a male-driven archetype of professional expertise and criminal coercion. Because the story focuses almost exclusively on Charlie Thorpe's arc, it lacks the breadth required for intersectional storytelling. The absence of diverse identities or social critiques results in a very low diversity profile. Ultimately, the film adheres to traditional power structures and conventional storytelling patterns without attempting to subvert them or introduce varied perspectives.
