The film functions as a typical domestic thriller, emphasizing interpersonal conflict and the mechanics of a crime over social complexity. The narrative structure adheres to standard genre conventions rather than challenging social hierarchies or providing layered diversity. While Kim takes control of the cover-up, the core conflict is rooted in traditional gender clichés of rage and domestic dysfunction. The lack of demographic detail regarding race and disability limits a more inclusive evaluation of the film.
