AI Analysis

Eddy Terstall’s *Deal* is a character-driven study of transactional intimacy that prioritizes individual agency over social structures. The film succeeds in deconstructing traditional morality, presenting a world where situational ethics take precedence over institutional authority. However, the film is demographically narrow. It operates within a culturally specific, Western European context that lacks racial intersectionality and queer representation. The focus remains heavily on a homogeneous, white, heteronormative social circle. Ultimately, while the film offers a sophisticated critique of moral and legal authority, it lacks the demographic breadth required for a more inclusive representation of modern society.
