New Showbiz Analysis

Bait operates as a conventional horror survival narrative. The plot follows a domestic unit displaced from a social setting into a site of entrapment, prioritizing genre-standard tension over social commentary. The film maintains a traditionalist framework, focusing on the cohesion of a family unit under duress. There is no evidence of intentional demographic subversion or identity-driven character arcs. Without addressing multiple aspects of identity or disrupting social hierarchies, the film adheres to standard horror expectations rather than progressive disruption.
