New Showbiz Analysis

ExPatriot primarily functions as a conventional genre thriller. It centers a female protagonist within a high-stakes espionage framework, offering a slight departure from typical male-dominated action clichés. However, the film lacks depth in representing diverse identities. While it explores themes of institutional corruption and uses an international setting, it does not clearly depict LGBTQ+ or racially diverse characters. Ultimately, the narrative focuses on a singular protagonist's struggle rather than a broad, diverse ensemble.
