New Showbiz Analysis

This romantic comedy operates primarily within conventional genre boundaries. While it avoids being a purely passive story by giving its female leads ability to act in their quest for revenge, it remains tethered to traditional social structures. The film lacks multi-layered complexity, focusing instead on a narrow, homogeneous European social context. It functions as a standard commercial piece rather than a work that seeks to deconstruct social hierarchies or systemic norms. Ultimately, the production prioritizes lighthearted genre clichés over diverse or progressive representation, resulting in a narrative that feels culturally and demographically limited.

Official Synopsis

It's an affair that the married business woman Thea bitterly regrets: Since she got involved in a vacation with Benedict, she is not only plaguing her conscience. In addition, she is blackmailed by the supposed charmer with a shared sex video. Thea thinks about revenge. That's when it makes sense for her to find an ally in the bona fide bookseller Babette. This was led by Benedict only to the altar and then left with credit debts. When it comes to money, love ends - but the fun begins in this revenge comedy starring Katrin Sass, Petra Kleinert, Jasmin Schwiers.
