New Showbiz Analysis

Desperté con un sueño focuses on the coming-of-age journey of a young man named Felipe, exploring his rebellion and pursuit of a career in acting. The plot delves into the tension between personal ambition and family expectations through Felipe's secret acting class and his trip to Montevideo. While the film touches on themes of personal freedom, it lacks specific evidence of diverse casting or identity-focused subplots. The narrative structure emphasizes a coming-of-age story rather than broader social representation. Overall, the film offers a foundational exploration of personal autonomy but falls short in providing clear representation of diverse demographics.
