New Showbiz Analysis

The film uses racial tension as its primary plot engine, centering on a multi-racial duo to drive the horror-comedy conflict. While this avoids total homogeneity, the reliance on initial racial animosity suggests a traditional clash-of-cultures cliché rather than deep multi-layered exploration. Representation is unevenly distributed. The focus remains almost entirely on the male leads, leaving gender and LGBTQ+ identities largely absent from the frame. The setting provides some socioeconomic grit, but the narrative lacks broader systemic critique. Ultimately, the inclusion of different racial backgrounds serves the immediate survival plot rather than a committed effort toward progressive representation.
