Souryam is a traditional action-masala film that prioritizes high-octane spectacle and hero-centric storytelling. The narrative structure relies heavily on established genre conventions, focusing on masculine vengeance and physical dominance. The film does not significantly disrupt social or gender hierarchies. It uses characters and settings to support a standard thriller progression without exploring diverse identities or subversive social commentary. Ultimately, the film adheres to conventional clichés, centering on heterosexual romance and familial honor, which limits its breadth of representation.
