New Showbiz Analysis

The film follows a conventional domestic horror framework, emphasizing traditional storytelling over challenging social norms. It focuses on a mother-daughter pair dealing with grief and supernatural threats, which aligns with established genre clichés. While Emma, the female lead, plays a significant role in the story, her ability to act is framed through traditional maternal and caregiving expectations. The narrative structure reinforces rather than challenges traditional family hierarchies and social norms. Overall, the film lacks the complexity needed to address multiple aspects of diversity and does not challenge existing social hierarchies. It remains a conventional exploration of family stability and unity.
