New Showbiz Analysis

Scan Doll delves into themes of technological obsession and voyeurism using cyberpunk and surrealist styles. It examines social isolation and the erosion of privacy through these genres. However, the film's heavy reliance on the male perspective and objectification of women limits its potential to challenge traditional social norms. The narrative structure prioritizes visual and thematic provocations over nuanced character development. Overall, the film serves as an exploration of power dynamics through observation, but it falls short in providing deeper representation and challenging established hierarchies.
