New Showbiz Analysis

Ghost Island is a conventional survival-horror film focused on isolation and familial longing. While it features a diverse ensemble cast, the narrative follows standard genre conventions without challenging social norms. The film highlights a female protagonist and a multicultural cast. However, it does not provide substantial representation for underrepresented identities or a critique of established institutions. Ultimately, the production emphasizes traditional genre elements such as terror and survival over disrupting systemic norms.
