AI Analysis

The film centers on a female protagonist, Hae-young, who takes on heavy responsibilities typically reserved for patriarchal figures. By making her the head of the household and a seeker of justice, the story challenges conventional gender roles. The narrative also touches on ethnic minority dynamics through the family's Chinese restaurant setting. This suggests a focus on how marginalized groups interface with a corrupt or 'ugly' social landscape. While the film lacks specific details regarding LGBTQ+ or disability representation, its core strength lies in its social-realist critique of systemic power and individual resilience.
