AI Analysis
2012: Supernova adheres to the standard genre conventions of late-2000s science fiction. It centers on a singular male protagonist, Dr. Kelvin, who holds the primary agency in saving humanity from a cosmic threat. The film lacks intentional efforts to disrupt social hierarchies or integrate intersectional identities. Instead, it relies on a traditional narrative framework that prioritizes scientific progress and the preservation of established Western social structures. Overall, the production presents a homogeneous view of leadership and survival, offering little in the way of diverse representation or narrative subversion.
