AI Analysis

Street Lights functions as a conventional crime thriller, prioritizing a standard investigative arc over social complexity. The narrative is built around a singular male protagonist, James, which leans heavily into traditional masculine tropes common to the genre. While the film naturally reflects its regional South Asian setting, it does not make an intentional effort to include intersectional identities or diverse ethnic perspectives. The focus remains strictly on the procedural mystery and the pursuit of justice through established legal frameworks. Ultimately, the film lacks representation for LGBTQ+ individuals and people with disabilities. It follows a predictable genre structure that avoids progressive social commentary or the subversion of institutional norms.
