Wrong Friends operates as a conventional ensemble comedy focusing on situational humor. The narrative structure emphasizes interpersonal conflicts within a traveling friend group rather than exploring diverse identities. The film's setting and storyline align with traditional Eurocentric perspectives. It centers on shared experiences and travel, reflecting conventional social values without subverting them. Overall, the film does not make intentional efforts to address systemic power dynamics or represent diverse social hierarchies, sticking to localized, character-driven comedy.
