AI Analysis

Why Can't My Life Be a Rom-Com? functions as a conventional genre piece that adheres to established romantic comedy tropes. The plot focuses on individualistic setbacks, such as a breakup and professional stagnation, rather than exploring broader social or systemic issues. The film prioritizes material aspirations and traditional social mobility. By centering the resolution on securing wealth through marriage, the story reinforces existing social hierarchies and Western aspirational norms rather than subverting them. Ultimately, the work lacks identity-driven subversion. It operates within a standard framework that emphasizes personal emotional arcs over diverse or intersectional perspectives.
