Dangerous Cops is a traditional crime-comedy procedural that prioritizes genre conventions and narrative momentum over social commentary. The plot follows a standard investigative path, from a high-stakes pharmaceutical theft to a comedic professional setback. The film adheres to the stylistic conventions of 1980s Japanese action cinema. It emphasizes institutional authority and male-driven narratives, offering limited engagement with identity politics or the deconstruction of social hierarchies. Ultimately, the work serves as a genre-driven piece that upholds the status quo of its era rather than challenging systemic power structures.
