AI Analysis

Darker Than Night functions as a traditional genre piece that adheres to established horror tropes. Its primary strength lies in its female-led structure, which provides a departure from male-dominated horror narratives by placing women at the center of the survival struggle. However, the film lacks intersectional depth. The absence of racial diversity, queer narratives, or disability representation prevents it from challenging broader social or cultural norms. It remains a conventional supernatural thriller focused on external threats rather than systemic critique.
