AI Analysis

Zombie Shark is a genre-driven survival horror that prioritizes immediate physical threats over social subversion. While Misty Talley’s direction offers a female perspective in a male-dominated genre, the film remains tethered to traditional creature-feature tropes. The narrative centers on a group of friends fighting experimental hybrids. This focus on survivalist logic limits the opportunity for deep character exploration or the representation of diverse identities. Ultimately, the film functions as a standard TV-movie action piece. It relies on established horror frameworks rather than intentional deconstruction of social hierarchies.
