New Showbiz Analysis

The film 'Holy Boy' explores how communities exploit underrepresented individuals to maintain a facade of peace. It uses the horror genre to deconstruct systemic corruption and the ethics of collective stability. While the film lacks broad demographic representation, it finds depth in its treatment of a central, non-normative character. The boy's unique ability is integral to the village's social structure. Ultimately, the film prioritizes thematic complexity over inclusive casting, challenging conventional heroism by presenting a protagonist whose descent into darkness responds to an oppressive, ritualistic system.
