New Showbiz Analysis

Cowboy is a genre-bending mystery that excels in creating psychological tension and challenging traditional rural clichés. By focusing on queer subtext and sexual frustration, it moves away from typical straight-centered horror structures. However, the film lacks diversity, being heavily male-centric and seemingly homogeneous in its rural setting. While it effectively critiques traditional social institutions, it remains limited by its narrow demographic focus.
