AI Analysis

Dark Fields operates strictly within the confines of low-budget, independent slasher horror. The film prioritizes visceral tension and survival mechanics over any meaningful exploration of social identity or intersectional representation. The narrative architecture reinforces conventional tropes rather than challenging them. By focusing on a group of teenagers hunted by a killer, the film stays within a traditionalist framework that lacks diverse character agency. Ultimately, the production lacks the intentional subversion of social hierarchies required to move beyond standard genre expectations.
