New Showbiz Analysis

In Darkness We Fall is a genre-driven survival horror film that emphasizes environmental tension over social commentary. The narrative revolves around a group of five young adults exploring a remote island and a labyrinthine cave. The film leans heavily on conventional adventure clichés, such as backpacking and motorcycling, which highlight physical prowess. This focus leaves little room for representing disabled or neurodivergent individuals. Overall, the film operates as a typical genre piece. It does not showcase markers of progressive intentions or disrupt traditional social hierarchies.
