New Showbiz Analysis

Jhankaar Beats is a genre-driven musical dramedy that prioritizes commercial storytelling over social deconstruction. While it offers an authentic look at urban Indian life, it remains firmly within traditional social frameworks. The film reinforces conventional hierarchies, particularly regarding gender and domesticity. The male protagonists drive the emotional and professional arcs, while female characters occupy supporting roles tied to domestic stability or conflict. Ultimately, the work lacks complexity in reflecting multiple aspects of identity. It provides a culturally specific backdrop but avoids challenging the status quo or exploring diverse identities.
