AI Analysis
Simon Says operates as a conventional slasher film that prioritizes visceral horror and physical peril over social commentary. The narrative structure relies heavily on established genre tropes, which limits the opportunity for nuanced character development or intersectional exploration. The film reinforces traditional social hierarchies and standard archetypes. By focusing almost exclusively on the immediate threat of the antagonists, the story avoids engaging with complex identity politics or progressive social frameworks.
